Aliyu Appoints Five New Commissioners, Drops Four

Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State has appointed five new commissioners and and a new Head of Service and dropped four commissioners from his cabinet.

Aliyu asked the new commissioners to work towards the completion of all ongoing projects started by his administration.

Those appointed include former Director General, Media and Publicity, Alhaji Danladi Ndayebo who now becomes Commissioner of Communication and Strategy, Alhaji Abubakar Tukur who was Accountant General is now Commissioner of Finance while Alhaji Abbas Muyan, former Adviser to the the Governor is now Commissioner for Mining and Solid Mineral Resources.

Others include the former Chairman of Edati Local Government, Alhaji Isa Kantigi who is now Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs while Alhaji Abdullahi Maza Kuka was appointed Commissioner for Water Resources.

Those dropped from the cabinet were Mr. Daniel Shashere (Sports), Alhaji Ibrahim Matene (Agriculture) and Alhaji Mustapha Lemu, former Commissioner, Science and Technology as well as the former Commissioner of Health, Dr Ibrahim Baba Sule.
