HIV stigma drove me out of Lagos, says advocate

After living seven years in denial without treatment, Chika Ekezie publicly disclosed his status in 2024, began antiretroviral therapy, and achieved an undetectable viral load within a year. Ekezie is now using his platform to urge people living with HIV to stay on medication and to fight against misconceptions and stigma.
