Nigeria-born Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Interim Middleweight Champion, Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya has presented the UFC gold belt to Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun at his Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta office.

 The New Zealand-based mixed-martial artist is in Nigeria for the first time in 16 years. 

Adesanya says he wants Africa to host the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the future and would love to compete on the UFC’s first-ever card from the world’s second-largest continent.

Adesanya, who beat America’s Kelvin Gastelum in a spectacular fight at UFC 236 in Atlanta, USA in April, is from Odogbolu in Ogun State.

Responding, Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun congratulated the UFC Champion on the feat achieved.  

He said the state is proud of his achievements with a charge to stay focused.
