Students of Ondo state-owned universities took over the major street of Akure the state capital in protest of high tuition introduced by the government.

The students who were drawn from Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba and Ondo state university of science and technology, OSUSTEC Okitipupa lament the deplorable condition of infrastructures on their school campuses.

They carried placards with different inscriptions imploring the state governor Rotimi Akeredolu to review school fees of the state-owned tertiary institutions.

The students vowed to remain on the streets of Akure until government listens to their agitation because according to them many of the students cannot afford the new tuition.
