KANO police command has confirmed the arrest of ten people in the state following a bloody clash during the traditional Sallah Durbar celebrations in the metropolis.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna, Spokesman, Kano State Police Command, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday.

Haruna said that the incident occurred on Wednesday after some persons took advantage of the traditional Sallah celebrations at the Emir palace to unleash mayhem on the people leading to the death of one person while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Haruna said that the suspects, who were arrested with various dangerous weapons, would be charged to court after investigations
