Osinbajo launches 'TraderMoni'

As part of the efforts to support small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has on Wednesday, September 19, launched 'Trader Moni' at Nyanya Market in the Federal Capital Territory.

Professor Osinbajo who arrived at a rousing welcome by market men and women assured the petty traders of the Buhari administration's determination to support them and to make their contributions to the development of the country.

He said the programme is aimed at helping the traders access funds to grow their businesses.

The Tradermoni scheme is to enable more traders to benefit from soft loans from the government.

The program was launched amid existing Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), which targets market women, traders, artisans and enterprising youths.

Three hundred and fifty thousand persons have so far benefitted from the GEEP loan Scheme.
