In the spirit of Eld-el-fitri celebration, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has directed the Ondo State Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps, to pardon twenty-eight suspects with light offences. The light offences are dangerous driving, destruction of public peace, minor stealing and buying of stolen goods.

The State Commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who announced this while parading forty-five suspected criminals, explained that the governor also ordered that the twenty eight released suspects should be handed over to their next of kins/family members for rehabilitation.

On the remaining suspects who were arrested for kidnapping, the Amotekun commander said they would be made to face the full weight of the law at the conclusion of investigations.

Akogun Adeleye said among those paraded were, kidnappers who macheted a fellow kidnapper in Akoko area to prevent him from revealing their criminal secret.
