NDA Attack: Summon Buhari for Explanation - PDP Tells NASS

In the wake of Tuesday's attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy by bandits, the opposition People Democratic Party is calling on the National Assembly to summon President Muhammadu Buhari for an explanation on the incessant bandit and terrorist attacks in the country.

The national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan made the call while reacting to the recent killings, particularly at the NDA and plateau state.

Ologbondiyan said the present administration has failed in all ramifications particularly in the areas of security of lives and property adding that even a Boys scout commander will do better than the president.

He lamented the kidnapping and killing of school students and farmers which he said has created apprehension, apathy and hunger in the country saying the ruling all progressives congress and its government must explain why Nigeria’s security architecture degenerated to such a laughable state.

The spokesman of the main opposition party said that the situation in the country has overwhelmed the present administration that a governor in his state asked citizens there to defend themselves—a situation he said never happened before in the history of the country.

Recall that gunmen had invaded the highly revered Nigerian Defence Academy, killing senior military officers and abducting others.
