A middle age man, identified as Omotosho Samuel and a native of Ondo state on Saturday evening committed suicide in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The incident which occurred at Araromi- ODO-ONA area of Apata under Ido local government council in Ibadan, took many residents of the area by surprise as they were seen discussing the development in groups.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo who visited the scene of the incident reports that the victim, a father of two children hanged himself inside the room.

Although he left no suicide note behind to explain the cause of his action, some of his neighbors who refused to speak on camera claimed that the deceased and his wife  have been at loggerheads over some domestic issues, a development which forced his wife who hailed from Calabar to abandoned her matrimonial home with the two children.

All attempts to speak with the mother of the deceased and other family members on the incident proved abortive as they were devastated by the incident. 

Officers from the homicide department of the Oyo state police command, Iyaganku have visited the scene of the incident for proper investigation and as at the time of this report, they were making efforts to move the remains of deceased from his room for autopsy.
