A horrible scene greeted the people of Umueri Nekede axis of Imo state on Saturday as the angered mob in a jungle justice approach burnt a suspected armed robber who has been terrorising the area in recent times to ashes.

Sources revealed that the middle age man threatened a female student of Nekede with a locally made gun in his possession and collect her phone in the morning hours.

The lady later raised an alarm which made vigilante rushed to the scene and disarmed him.

An eye witness who spoke when Galaxy news visited the scene said crime activities the community has been on the increase and the killed suspect is not unconnected to most of them.

They said angry youths of the community who have been on the lookout for an appropriate time to end his notorious activities in the community descended on him, he was beaten beyond recognition was later set ablaze.

Meanwhile, information has it that he and other cohorts of his have been terrorising people living within the axis by forcefully collecting their valuables at gunpoint.
