INEC Expresses Readiness to Conduct Ogun Re - Run Election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ogun State, says, it is ready to conduct the House of Representatives re-run election in three local government areas in the state.
This follows the directive from the commission's national office, as ordered by the Appeal Court sitting in Ibadan.
The commission had fixed January 25th, 2020 for supplementary rerun election; the exercise would take place in thirteen polling units spread across Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu North East and Odogbolu Federal Constituencies.
Speaking to Galaxy News, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Prof. Abdulganiy Raji says the commission is ready for the exercise; while one hundred and seven members of staff, would participate during the poll.
Recall that, the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State had upheld the decision of the tribunal, which ordered a supplementary election, and subsequently, dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. Kolapo Osunsanya of the All Progressives Congress.
