Police officers and others rank serving in Benue State Police Command have been admonished to take advantage of the National Health Insurance Schemes to register themselves and their family.

The Force Medical Officer, AIG Dr(Mrs) Obembe Module, gave the admonition during her visit to the command headquarters in Makurdi where she encouraged policemen on the need to get registered on NHIS scheme and easily access quality health care services where it is needed.

The AIG said her visit to Makurdi is in line with the Inspector General of Police health awareness strategy launched on the 25th of April, 2019 tagged 'Stay Healthy to Secure the Nation.' 

The force medical officer further adviced officers and men to look after their health no matter how busy they are and adopt a positive lifestyle.

The force medical officer who also inspected some of the health facility at the command in Makurdi commended their effort and said there is room for improvement.
