Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District and the chairman, senate committee on communications, Gilbert Nnaji has lost his wife, Lady Ann Nnaji.

Lady Ann Nnaji died in a hospital abroad after a long battle with an undisclosed ailment.

This was made known according to the statement by Nnaji’s media adviser, Egbon Mon-Charles, who announced the death of the senator's wife.

'It is with heavy heart that I announce the unfortunate passing away of Lady Ann Nnaji, wife of Senator Gilbert Nnaji, Chairman, Senate Committee on Communications'.

The statement also included the husband's tribute to the wife.

According to Senator Gilbert, she was a virtuous woman, praying wife, pillar of support, dedicated mother and a caring sister who will be missed as long as I live.‎ May her gentle soul rest in peace,”
