Police operatives storm Dino Melaye's home
Operatives of the Nigerian Police have laid siege on the residence of Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye.
The armed Police operatives claimed that the action was on the orders of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to lay the seige at the Senator's home in Abuja.

Galaxy television's correspondent, Nnabuchi Okey Nnabuchi who visited the residence revealed that the street was cordoned off by the operatives with Toyota hilux operational vehicles.

Speaking to journalists afterwards, younger brother to the senator, Moses Melaye, claimed that the Police personnel forcibly entered the fortified building, and still remained inside as of 3:18 p.m. while other plainclothed officers, were manning outside.

"Today’s siege marks the fourth attempt to arrest Mr Melaye by force this year," he revealed.

It would be recalled that Senator Dino Melaye had raised an alarm a few days ago, over an attempt by the Federal Government to allegedly assassinate him.

The embattled lawmaker had alleged several looting of public funds under the Buhari-led administration and had criticized the government over its selective fight
against corruption.
