Ita-Giwa sets to leave PDP for APC

The former presidential adviser, Florence Ita-Giwa has disclosed her intention to leave People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join her contemporaries in the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC).


Ita-Giwa revealed this on Thursday, April 6, that she is defecting to the APC with her huge supporters from her Bakassi constituency to boost the fortunes of the party in Cross River state.

Stating her reason, she said she has been idle in PDP for over one year. She added that her huge supporters from her constituency, Bakassi, will also join the APC to boost the fortunes of the party in Cross River state.

Prior to this, she joined the PDP in 2003 to became former president Olusegun Obasanjo's Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters.
