The Chairman of the Union in Oyo State, Comrade Tojuade Adedoyin who gave the hint during an interview with Correspondent Kunle Ojo in Ibadan said the situation is gradually getting out of hand.

He maintained that the leadership of the union is currently meeting with the officials of the Federal Ministry of Education on the matter adding that all hands must be on the deck to find a lasting solution to the problem.

On the payment of ransom and negotiations with the bandits, the chairman of NUT in Oyo state frowned at the development stressing that the measures will continue to embolden kidnappers and encourage others to join the gang.

He appealed to the government and the security agencies to up their games and ensure the safety of both the students and teachers in schools, especially those with boarding facilities.
