Buhari, Heads of Security Agencies, Service Chief Hold Security Meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari is at the moment presiding over a security meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
The meeting which is being held at the first lady's conference room is not unconnected with the spate of insecurity in the country.
Statehouse correspondent Nnabuchi Okey Nnabuchi reports that vice president Yemi Osinbajo is also attending the meeting.
Nnabuchi also reports that other heads of security agencies present at the meeting include, the chief of defence staff, Lt. General lucky Irabor, service chiefs and the inspector general of police.
The meeting is coming on the heels of security threats by insurgents, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements across the country.
The meeting may also address the call from different quarters, particularly the opposition People's Democratic Party, for the president to convey a security summit for discussions on ways to resolve the security situation in the country.
