AIG reads Riot Act to police officers

The Assistant Inspector General (AIG), police Zone 5 comprising Delta, Edo and Bayelsa state Rasheed Olatunde has charged officers and men of the Bayelsa police command to demonstrate professionalism in carrying out their duties.


He gave the charge during his maiden visit to the command where he was received by the new commissioner Mr. Don Awunah.

 Addressing officers and men after inspecting a guard in his honour, the police AIG spoke on the need for officers to have integrity and display professionalism.

 Bayelsa police commissioner said the state remains the lowest in crime as the government support is yielding results.

 In attendance were senior police officers from  Edo, Delta and Bayelsa state, while the AIG is expected to visit Delta in the coming days.
