Arsenal Prepare a €12 Million Bid For Villa
The future of David Villa is still making the headlines. According to 'The Sun', Arsenal is about to offer €12 million to sign the Barça forward before the end of the winter transfer window.
The London-based paper insists that Barcelona does not want the player to leave, but says that coach Arséne Wenger is determined to take Villa on board. Moreover, the article suggests that it could be the player who forces his own exit from the Catalan club.
Arsenal is not the first team to be linked with David Villa in this window. The player is not playing all that much for Tito Vilanova, and Europe's bigger clubs are watching the situation closely.
Barcelona's assistant coach, Jordi Roura, has referred to Villa's situation in a press conference. "He is an important player for us, but he has not been lucky with injuries. He has had muscular problems that have made him lose a bit of rhythm. We will see what happens tomorrow, but he should be travelling with us. It is always important to have him with us".
