PDP push for credible process ahead Ekiti poll
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised President Mohammadu Buhari to ensure peaceful and credible gubernatorial elections in Ekiti state.
The party chairman, Uche Secondus gave the advice in a courtesy visit to Governor Udom Immanuel in the government house in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state.
Secondus task the independent electoral commission to secure an equal level playground for political parties, adding that the forthcoming gubernatorial elections will be a true test to the credibility of the 2019 general elections.
For his part, the Akwa Ibom state governor, Udom emmanuel reiterated the need for security agencies to be professional and apolitical while discharging their duties during the conduct of the election and enjoin the international community to monitor the process.
The chairman, PDP was in government house Uyo to hold consultations with governor Udom Emmanuel who is the chairman of the party's campaign council.
