The Ondo state House of Assembly has passed the 2017 appropriation bill into law with an increment of over N1 billion Naira.

The bill that was transmitted to the Assembly two weeks ago by the state government for  2017 fiscal year had an initial amount of N169 billion.

Going through the third reading, the clerk of the Assembly, Bode Adeyelu read the bill as amended by the House committee on appropriation and public fund.

The 2017 appropriation bill is premised on the current crude oil price in the international market and with the hope that the state can improve on its internally generated revenue.

The chairman, House committee on appropriation and public fund, Hon. Sunday Olajide said the increase in the bill came through the defense presentation of Ministries Department and Agencies, (MDAs).
