The All Progressive Congress in Ekiti state has assured residents of the state that the 2018 gubernatorial elections in the state will be peaceful and credible.

The assurance was given by the spokesperson of the party in the state, Taiwo Olatunbosun at a stakeholder’s forum to channel ways to conduct a peaceful poll.

Olatunbosun said the fear raised by the Peoples Democratic Party is as a result of their experiences in the past when impunity was perpetrated in Nigeria without check by the federal government.

He said the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is committed to a free fair and credible poll in every part of the country as could be proved by the recently conducted poll in Anambra state.
