UNIZIK students lament bad road
Students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka have called on the Anambra state government as a matter of urgency to complete the ongoing construction of road project leading to the school through the Ifite-Awka axis.

The students lament the decay in the infrastructure and demand that the road should be fixed before raining season gets serious.

Explaining their experiences daily whenever it rains, the students say they spend a lot percent of their fare to cross the damaged portion of the road by Tricycles or commercial motorcycles.

They urged the government to fund the contractor currently working on the road to enable promt completion of the job.

Recounting their experiences, the students said earlier measures put in place by the school Authority to ameliorate their suffering have not been of any help and pleads with  the State Government to get the project actualised before rains set in proper.

The deplorable road project was among road facilities flagged off by governor Willie Obiano last year, but only a half portion the drainage has so far been completed, while other half is yearning for urgent attention.
