Police to dispatch five mobile police units

Following the recent clash between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in Numan local government area of Adamawa state, the inspector general of Police, Idris Ibrahim said the Nigerian police force will dispatch five mobile police units to Adamawa in order to maintain law and order in the area.


Idris Ibrahim disclosed this in Yola, the state capital during his visit to the state to commiserate with the families that lost their lives during the unfortunate incident. 

Following the recent crisis in the region, the people of the area have abandoned their homes in escape for their dear lives.

The inspector general of Police Idris Ibrahim said the Nigerian police force will do everything possible to bring to book those involved in killing the innocent souls. 

The Hama Bachama Honest Stephen Irmiya pleaded with the Nigerian police force to immediately restore back the police area command in Numan as that will increase the police physical presence in the area.

Meanwhile, the inspector general of police had earlier paid a courtesy call to Adamawa State governor senator Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow, where the governor said the state government will do everything possible to collaborate with the police in the state.
