Police nab kidnappers, rescue four-year-old boy

Operatives of the Kano state police command have apprehended three suspects in connection with the abduction of a four-year-old boy in the state. 


According to the Kano state police command, the suspects are; Idris Ibrahim, 19, of Goron Dutse Quarters, Khalid Abdul Rahman, 24, of U/Dabai Quarters and Ahmad Ibrahim Usman, 20, of Aisami Quarters of Kano metropolis.

According to a press statement, issued by the Command’s Spokesman, SP Musa Magaji Majiya, the state police command swung into action on Friday following the reported case of a missing boy.

The Police said the kidnappers of the four-year-old boy, were demanding a ransom of N100,000.
Majiya said, an unknown person, subsequently contacted the father of the kidnapped boy, with GSM No 08069777966, demanding a ransom of N100,000, so as to release the missing boy.

In his words, Majiya said; ”Immediately the report was received, detectives from Anti-Kidnapping Squad under the able leadership of CSP Babagana Saje were mandated by the State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf, to not only investigate but to rescue the victim and arrest the perpetrators.”
