At least one person has been confirmed dead, while two other kidnappers were arrested after a gun duel with men of the Ogun state police command in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu who paraded the suspects before newsmen said operatives of the Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad arrested the suspects before they could get their victims.

Iliyasu explained that the suspects were on the trail of two businessmen whose names were simply given as Alhaji Shehu and Alhaji Kabiru either for robbery or kidnapping.

He explained that the duo had a record of carrying out deadlier operations both in the Northern and Southern parts of Nigeria.
