Police denies report on militant killing
The Bayelsa state police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat has denied the report in some media outfits, suggesting that militants from Ekeremor local government area of the state killed a security operative who was on a spying mission.
He made this known while speaking with newsmen on what he described as the need not to heat up the polity.
Speaking on the issue, the Bayelsa police image maker said militants killed a fellow militant for supremacy battle.
Speaking further, he urged community members to assist the police with useful information to apprehend the fleeing militants.
It will be recalled that some media had reported the be-heading of a plain cloth security operative at Ekeremor local government area of the state, before the police image maker came out with the latest development.
