Operatives of the Ondo state police command have on Monday, June 26, apprehended five persons in connection with kidnapping.

According to police sources, the suspected kidnappers deal in the transaction of human parts in an uncompleted building, beside the Parliament hotel at Igbatoro road in Akure, the state capital.

The suspects were nabbed after an Army officer who had been suspicious of crime being committed inside the uncompleted building sporadically shot at the building on Monday morning.

In a bid to escape arrest, the alleged criminals ran out of the building but unfortunately ran into the hands of the Army officers who apprehended them and handed them over to the police.

The suspects had since been taken to the state’s police command for investigation.
