A Committee of the Oyo State House of Assembly has commenced the screening of the caretaker chairmen nominees with heavy presence of security men within the premises of the State Assembly.

The Speaker of the House, Hon. Michael Adeyemo had yesterday during the plenary session read out the names of the Nominees sent to the House by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Galaxy Television gathered that despite series of petitions filed against the nomination of some of the nominees, the screening Committee chaired by Hon. Bolaji Badamosi from Akinyele State Constituency 2, has commenced the exercise.

Some of the nominees who spoke with Journalists expressed their readiness to serve the people in their respective council areas.

Speaking on the exercise, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Bolaji Badamosi who confirmed he received some petitions as regard some of the nominees said the committee was satisfied with the caliber of the people nominated by the Governor.

Also, the nominees sued for peace among members of the party across the state, stressing that all hands must be on the deck for the success of the council poll.
