Two members of an armed robbery gang who shot and injured the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ogbere Division, CSP Adeyinka Akingbade have been arrested by operatives of the Federal SARS.

Parading the suspects, Wasiu Ganiyu and Azeez Komolafe,   CP Ahmed Illyasu said the DPO  had received a distress call about the robbers who invaded an hotel in Itele-Ijebu and led his men to the scene but was ambushed by the robbers who shot him severally at a close range.

 

 Commissioner  of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu who was highly elated about the gallantry display of men of the Federal  SARS  for nipping in the bud the criminals also appealed to members of the public, especially hospitals to report anybody seen with gunshot wound to the Police.
