As part of the deliberate efforts to curb the challenges facing corps members across the country, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has organised a workshop for corp members and employers in the country.

The aim of the workshop was to address challenges of corps rejection, underutilization, and inadequate welfare provisions for Corps members across the country.

The Director-General , NYSC, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure stated this at the 2018 NYSC/CORPS members workshop held in Osogbo with the theme, "Tackling Emerging Challenges in Youth Corps Administration Through Greater NYSC/ Stakeholders Participation".

Brigadier General Kazaure said the NYSC management has increased regular inspections to corps members at the places of primary assignments and ensure that absentee corps members are duly sanctioned.

He assured that no corps member posted to serve in government's ministries, departments and agencies would henceforth be rejected.

The workshop was declared open by the state commissioner for empowerment and youths engagement, Folake Adegboyega who encouraged employers of corps members to treat them well.
