INEC restates position on voters' registration
Over six thousand persons have been registered in the continuous voters registration exercise held in the eight local government council areas of Bayelsa state.
This was made known by the administrative secretary for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state, Clement Oha, while briefing newsmen at the commission’s headquarters in Yenagoa.
Speaking at the briefing, the secretary spoke on the numbers involved and residents who came from other state to register.
He also gave a date for the commencement of the second phase of the exercise in ensuring that those who are qualified are given the opportunity.
In attendance at the briefing were INEC officers from the eight local government areas of the state, as well as media correspondent’s.
