Fayemi advises N Power beneficiaries
Beneficiaries of the N Power programme of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration have been admonished to use the opportunity of the programme judiciously.
The Minister for Mines and steel development, Kayode Fayemi who represented President Muhammadu Buhari at a public lecture put together by the beneficiaries to appreciate the efforts of the President, gave the advise on Saturday, March 17.

He said the programme was implemented by the federal government to restore the dignity of being a Nigerian and reassured the youths of the determination of the FG to alleviate poverty.

He advised the beneficiaries to unleash their creative potentials and play a pivotal role in the economic development of the country by collecting their permanent voter's card. The Minister assured the beneficiaries that their complaints would be adequately related to the President and feedback would also be given to the beneficiaries.
 
The guest lecturer at the event, Prof Kunle Ajayi advised the federal government to incorporate secondary school leavers into the programme and increase the stipends paid to beneficiaries from thirty to Fifty thousand Naira monthly.
He lamented the high rate of youth unemployment in Nigeria and urged youths to desist from being used as political thugs.
 
Some of the N power beneficiaries testified that the scheme has transformed their lives, the also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to give them permanent employment in the Federal civil service.
