Ex-militants appeal to FG

Hundreds of ex-militants under the host communities producing oil and gas in Nigeria have called on the federal government to relax the modalities under which the pipeline surveillance program will be executed.

The ex-militants who in their hundreds, stormed the home of the National president of HOSTCOM in Warri, express their displeasure over the latest development.

Speaking on the need for the federal government to relax the modalities, some of the ex-militants said they have no resources to purchase uniforms.

On their part, the national president of the host communities producing oil and gas in Nigeria, Mike Emuh and the youth president appealed to the youths to make some sacrifice.

It will be recalled that since the federal government announced the proposed recruitment of ten thousand ex-militants to protect oil installations, the host communities’ leadership advised the youths to purchase uniforms which some have complied with.
