Residents of Niger Cat community in the Uvwie local government area of Delta state have called on the Delta state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to fulfill his promise of fixing the only access road linking the NNPC and Warri metropolis.

This is as a result of the deplorable state of the road, which the residents said has affected them economically and socially.

Speaking on the issue, some community residents call for urgent attention before the rainy season approaches.

The residents claimed the bad state of the road has crippled economic activities in the area, while other residents lament the effect of the road to their businesses as the pot-holes are damaging their cars.

Meanwhile, broken down petrol tankers is a daily occurrence along the once busy road, while the Chief Press Secretary to the Delta state governor, Mr. Charles  Aniagwu promised  the governor’s inspection of Warri roads come Thursday.
