The Commanding officer of the Nigerian Army, three battalion, Major Ahmed Abdulkadir has called on journalists in Warri to always ensure they balance their report before going to the press.

Ahmed Abdulkadir made the remarks at the headquarters of the battalion during a parley with newsmen on how to tackle crime related issues. Major Abdulkadir stressed the need for balanced reportage between the media and the military.

He promised to revive the relationship between the media and military in a bid to fighting crime in the region.

In his own remark, the NUJ chairman Warri Comrade Akpokona Omafuaire underscored the need for stronger ties between them.

In attendance at the parley were media correspondents practicing in Warri South, Uvwie and Warri South West local government area of the state.
