Ajimobi drums support for state Police

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi has stressed the need for the establishment of state police in Nigeria.


The need for state policing in Nigeria according to the Oyo state governor is to strengthen the existing security apparatus in the land.

Speaking with Journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on the state of security in Oyo State, Ajimobi stressed that the security of lives and properties remain the essence government.

Ajimobi described those working against the establishment of state police in Nigeria as enemies of democracy; stressing that the creation of state police would enhance democracy in the country.

The Governor maintained that his administration's huge investment in security has been justified as residents of the state now sleep with their two eyes Closed with the brilliant efforts of the joint security task force code named, "Operating Burst."

Ajimobi charged residents of the state on the need to be vigilant and continue to supportĀ  the security agencies.
