Nigerian Army Visits Edo IDP Camp, Donates Relief Materials
Brigade of the Nigerian Army Benin has entreated displaced victims of Boko Haram insurgents currently camped in Edo state with relief materials and other vitals essentials.
The displaced victims in their hundreds beamed with smiles as the Brigade commander Gen. Yahaya Farouk led his team of military medical personnel to conduct checkups on the state of their health.
The brigade commander addressing newsmen in Benin-city, said it is the usual practice of the Nigeria Army during its yearly celebration to identify critical sector of the society to assist members of the public, hence they decide to visit IDP camp which is uppermost.
The Camp Co-ordinator Pastor Solomon Folunrusho, who recieved the relief materials expressed joy and satisfaction of the Army, coming from the chief of Army staff says they are grateful.
The displaced victims and neighboring communities have been assured of protection and security while saying that the Nigerian Army will continue to play its constitutional roles.
